"Getting Through" - ASL Short Film
Hello there,
My name is Mason Beck, an Independent Filmmaker from St. Louis, MO, reaching out to you for your support – my next film project hopes to raise funds to not only help achieve it’s production costs (paying cast/crew, food, equipment, etc.), but all remaining proceeds are being donated to the Hearing Loss Association of America in an effort to support the deaf community not only in our town, but over the entire country.
Their representation in the arts and film are underappreciated and this film will serve to represent the hearing disabled and the lives they live, and we want you to help make this a reality.
Logline: A recently gone-deaf woman struggles to communicate and live normally with her boyfriend, and they both must work together to get through to one another or risk the relationship entirely.
HLAA - Hearing Loss Association of America: Our primary purpose is to educate ourselves, our families, friends, coworkers, teachers, hearing health care providers, industry, government, and others about hearing loss. HLAA provides adults and children with tools for self help; sensitizes the general population about the special needs of people who have hearing loss; and promotes understanding of the nature, causes, complications, and remedies of hearing loss.
