Getting the Word of God to Nzérékoré
Donation protected
My name is Carly Googe and I am asking for some support in getting the Word of God to my friends in Nzérékoré, Guinea.
My friend, Sam Johnson and his wife are the founders of My Vision for Refugees. My Vision is an orphanage located in the same city Sam fled to as a refugee during the Liberian civil war in the early '90s. He grew up in Nzérékoré and after high school accepted a soccer scholarship to Mercer University in Macon, GA, where he studied in the early 2010s. After graduating from Mercer, Sam left the States and returned home to turn his dream of opening his arms and doors to orphans in Nzérékoré into a reality.
The Johnson’s have already been acting as the hands and feet of Jesus for the kids at My Vision. The one thing they still need is the Word of God in their primary language. There are currently 18 children at the orphanage. The age range is toddler-age to 16 years. Sam and I discussed the ability to get Bibles in their primary language shipped to My Vision, along with some other basic items (thermometers, first aid supplies, feminine hygiene products, clothing). The goal is $1500. The funds would cover French/English translation Holy Bibles, the shipping barrel, the cost of shipping, and shipping the above-listed essential items.
Please pray for our friends as the Word reaches these kids for the first time! Any donations are a huge blessing to this community! Feel free to reach out with any questions about this ministry or other ways to assist our family in Christ!
Thank you!
