Getting the Big V Sanctuary tractor back on the road

Hi, my name is Louise and I have set up this urgent fundraiser to get the Big V tractor back on the road.

The Big V Sanctuary is based in France looking after over 200 animals, and run by a wonderful Anglo-French couple Miranda and Jerome.

The tractor tyre has been deliberately damaged, a cruel action that has been reported to the Gendarmes. The tyre has been temporarily patched, but it will not hold for long as each day it has to move vast amounts of hay, straw, food and waste around the sanctuary - work that is just not possible without a tractor.

We have an opportunity to buy a pair of second hand tyres that fit the tractor for €800 - a bargain compared to the brand new price of almost €1800 each!

Whilst tractor tyres don't seem exciting, and don't look cute in pictures, this is critical to the operation of the sanctuary and the welfare of all the residents - including the humans!
