Getting Sophie Well

Sophie is the sweetest dog of Megan, an elementary school teacher and amazing friend who loves for her dog more than anything.  Megan is an animal lover and doesn’t think twice or complain about the expenses of any need of her animals or really any animal... the girl’s favorite vacation: caring for animals in a habitat in Costa Rica... the girl has a huge heart. Megan began a stylish side gig a few years ago as a Stella & Dot with the goal of earning money to cover Sophie’s vet bills or at least make a good dent.  Well recently, Sophie was scheduled for ACL surgery because no other treatment options were working, was on some new medication and her health quickly worsened.  After going to her vet for support, Sophie landed in the animal hospital late last week... and what is going on that is causing her to be sick is still yet to be determined, meanwhile the bills are stacking up, rapidly, as her platelets and vital signs demonstrate the safest place for her to be is at the vet hospital.  Megan is giving and caring.  And she loves Sophie so very much... but her little side gig comes nowhere close to covering the current expenses nor those that are stacking up rapidly on top of that ACL surgery that is yet to come.   It’s Megan’s birthday on 9/29.  A group of Megan’s friends got together and decided this would be the best gift to Megan and Sophie during this hard time!  We want to help to cover some of the costs of Sophie’s medical bills, honoring and celebrating Megan’s true and deep love of animals! ❤️ If you can help at all, thank you. Thank you for keeping Sophie and her mama Megan in your thoughts!  This is something that Megan would never ask for herself... that’s who Megan is... but we know how much your support (in all forms) would/will mean to Megan!  She massively misses having Sophie home but wants her to be in the best hands to help her to get well.  Caring for Sophie’s health is not new to Megan... her plans and calendar revolve around Sophie and being present and caregiving as Megan lives out a belief we share... that pets are family and they deserve our best.  Sophie is such a sweet dog, who has touched us all with her sweet gentle spirit - always ready for love and attention.
