Getting Over February Short Film

Hi my name is Jacob Lee Waldrop, director, writer, and producer for Getting Over February alongside Danielle Picerno, director of photography, writer, and producer, and Hyatt Chance, lead actor, writer, and producer. We're Chicago-based artists and filmmakers with a goal to make a dreamy, weird comedy about romance. It's a timeless tale about trying to move on from someone you thought was the one, told in a way you wouldn't expect.

Our inspirations are all over the place, from Martin Scorsese's After Hours to Harold Ramis's Groundhog Day. From Fallen Angels to Seinfeld. The goal of the project is to merge a dream-like aesthetic and feeling, with a comedy about romance. Through the film we intend to launch a conversation about relationships, love, and hopefully, comedy itself.

We're shooting at the start of February with a release date of March 1st, 2024. There's a lot to do in a small time, but with the cast and crew we already have and amount of Pre-Production completed we anticipate a relatively smooth process.
