Getting our girl Gina back on road

Gina, my 28year old friend has been living her dream — backpacking across Australia. Recently she found a lump in her throat that turned out to be thyroid cancer.

True to who she is, Gina isn’t letting this diagnosis slow her down but she needs a little help as the procedure is scheduled for August 12th.

While she would love to return to the U.S. to be surrounded by more support, that is not an option. Thankfully, she can have the thyroid and cancer removal done in Australia, but it still comes at a cost of $7,000 AUD ($4,589 USD) which includes the hospital stay, all doctors and surgeons and recovery.
