In the past year alone, the number of diagnosed PTSD cases in the military jumped 50% (this is only reported & diagnosed cases).
According to the VA, up to 20% of Operation Freedom & Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans, up to 10% of Gulf War veterans, & up to 30% of Vietnam veterans have PTSD.
Transitioning from military to civilian life is often overwhelming & stressful. Transferring military job skills, training & education is a common problem for veterans.

Hi, My name is William.
Most of you don't know, but I've been a homeless Veteran for about 18 months now.
Due to unforeseen events and not seeing the warning signs in front of me, I became homeless.
Then as it goes, I can't get a good job or any employment in my current situation.
I'm not asking you to give me the world, but it would be the world if you do give.
I have no food, housing, money, and very little clothing. I don't have any of the daily basics.
With the money I've raised so far, I've been able to get my fines and other court-related fees taken care of. I got my driver's license back. And got my truck fixed, but I can't afford fuel for it. I also have a new S.S. card and have my DD214 on the way. I still need my birth certificate but haven't had any money to send to Pennsylvania to get it sent to me. I am still waiting to hear from HUD to see about housing, but that is turning out to be a long wait.
I'm just trying to get on my feet and get off the streets and have something to eat from my own home.
Please don't judge me for the lies I believed or the path I ended up on. But if you can help me, please do. I can't do this much longer.
It is very for real; I was not hacked I am in a situation that I l can't get out of without some help; if anything, could you please share my post with me?
I can't believe I've been in this situation for so long.
At first, I thought I would bounce back from all those pretty fast, but it just fell apart, and I couldn't get it back together.
The crazy thing is I don't remember how it even started.
I contacted the VA to get some help, but I'm on a list for use. So I didn't know what to do.
