Getting my drone business off the ground
Donation protected
Hello all,
My name is Corey, and I'm an aspiring drone photographer, based in Wichita Kansas. I am raising money to begin the process of not only getting my Part-107 drone license, as well as purchasing a professional drone to get my business set up and running.
A little background info on me:
I am a 31yr old single father, and I use my free time to learn new and different skills. I dabble in small electronics repair, FPV drone racing, computer repair, light mechanical skills, and a few other things that I'm interested in learning. I have an affinity for drones, as they are possibly my favorite invention of the 21st century. I truly believe that drones are the future of photography, as well as inspection, agriculture, search and rescue, and have tons of other uses. I would like to solidify my place in the drone-dominated future by starting my business now, and gaining the skills and reputation to become as proficient as I need to survive in this business!
I do have a full-time job as an avionics technician at a small company in Wichita. But as with any venture into business, an initial investment seems necessary to get the correct tools for the job. The correct tools for the job (in this case, the license and the drone), are financially out of my reach.
But I do have a drone now, a DJI Mavic Air 2. I've been using it to practice photography angles, skills, techniques, and learning how to edit photos and videos myself. I've done a wedding now, in South Dakota, photos of a pumpkin patch in Kansas, real estate photography in South Texas, and loads of other things. I should add that I also love to travel, and would absolutely document my adventures from the air with any drone I have with the capability of flight :D.
I am eager to start this venture, one way or another, and this campaign will absolutely jump-start my progress to victory. :)
As for specifics on the drone I'm wanting, here are those details. I'm wanting a DJI Inspire 2 (refurbished), with at least 4 batteries, a Zenmuse X5S camera, one single controller, and a carrying case to lug it all around with me. It's a very capable drone, and would be a great addition to my current DJI Mavic Air 2. The problem is the up-front cost. It's more than I could ever hope to drop on one item, save winning the lottery lol.
So please, if you have some cash to spare to help an entrepreneur make his name in the drone photography world, I'd be forever grateful. For any of those who donate, I will do my best to try and provide some drone related service to you, within my abilities.
All of the attached images are examples of my work so far, in hopes you'll be inspired to donate to my cause, and get my name out there in this business :)
Ha! 'inspired'... see what I did there? :P
