Getting Michael on the right foot again

Michael is a single Dad with two young daughters, and is the sole provider for them.

Recently Michael has been taking antibiotics to treat an infection in his left foot, that Physicians thought to be gout. Last week Michael was admitted to the hospital when he nearly lost his life due to the infection quickly spreading to both feet and both hands. Since being admitted, doctors have performed multiple surgeries to remove as much of the infection as they could, but were unsuccessful. To save Michael’s life, doctors were left with the difficult decision to remove his left foot. 

After surgery Michael has remained in the hospital and has had over five surgeries trying to fight the infection that still threatens to take his other foot, and both of his hands.  He is still unable to use either of his hands, however, he is making progress and we hope to see him home in the coming weeks. While Michael remains positive and continues to heal, there is a long, hard, painful road to recovery ahead for him in the coming months.

So friends and family, WE NEED YOUR HELP. 

Although it will not take away the pain, nor the mental or physical challenges ahead. We hope to help ease some of the financial burden that a medical illness brings and to create a little bit of security as well as stability for him and his daughters during the healing and recovery process. The main purpose of the funds being raised are to cover basic living expenses such as rent and food for his family over the next six months while he goes through the necessary physical therapy in order to return to working again. Michael is a very skilled and intelligent carpenter and we have no doubt that he will over come this challenge.
