Getting Magnum back on all 4's

Donation protected
On father's day Magnum blew out his knee, exact words from the Veterinarian at the emergency clinic where we rushed him. I was given 3 options. Surgery, will be expensive.  Amputation, beings how Magnum is a big dog they would need to amputate both legs, as his surviving  knee wouldn't be able to support his weight. Euthanasia. Yes they offered to put Magnum down. I told them the only option I was going to consider was surgery. He has a scope scheduled for July 12 and his surgery is July 13 at WSU. After surgery Magnum will need rehabilitation and a brace, for the other knee so he doesn't injure it, for about 3 months. Were hoping Magnum will heal completely, he's still a puppy and has a lot of growing to do. He's our herd dog. Magnum is a working dog. He's more than a guardian,  He's an important member of our family. His girls miss him, especially his bottle babies. Magnum has a pen set up in the barn so he's still around his goats. They'll come up to the panel, he'll lick their faces. The babies will lay right up next to his pen, Magnum will stick his feet through the panel so they can lay between his feet. I guess they feel protected that way. Every morning the doe's leave the barn for the pasture and leave Magnum behind. He used to lead them now he only gets to go out on potty breaks. But boy does he. He'll run up to the pasture, gather his girls and make sure everything is ok. He'll then come and lay on his dirt pile so he can see everything. One by one the doe's will come up to him and rub heads with him and then lay down, until they have encircled him. He used to protect them and now their protecting him. The babies don't even climb on him like they used to do, they know he's injured. And then of coarse Magnum has to be put back in the pen. We don't want him hurting his other knee. It's heartbreaking. He just wants to be with his girls. At the vet's magnum kept putting himself between me and the vet. He was protecting me. I made a promise to Magnum when I first held him to do everything in my power to keep him safe and loved. With out the surgery Magnum won't make it. I love him so much and I want to do what ever I can for him. If their not able to repair his knee and he does have both legs amputated, he will be the first livestock herd guardian dog with a bad ass wheelchair. I'm not putting him down. An animals quality of life shouldn't come down to money, but unfortunately sometimes it does. This is where you come in.  My care credit only has a small amount left on it, I used it for the emergency care, so any amount helps. I didn't want to resort to this but his date is fast approaching and I don't have enough money. Together we can bring Magnum home on all 4"s.
