Getting Joan a New Career
Donation protected
Hi, everyone.
My good friend, Deb, has been nudging me to start a Life Coaching practice. This is something we do for each other. Push each other out of our comfort zone. I was reluctant to leave my zone. But Deb has been persistent. And bless her heart. Over the years I have noticed that family and friends lean on me for my natural support and empathy. Even strangers tell me private details about their lives. People are comfortable opening up to me because I am an active listener. Which is a key role in Life Coaching.
Life Coaching is about helping people identify their goals and make changes to achieve these goals. A Life Coach helps people ask themselves the right questions to get a desired outcome. At its core, Life Coaching is about changing long held belief patterns. For example, “I can’t be a writer because no one takes me seriously.” The belief is limiting. Life Coaching shows clients how to move beyond the limiting belief.
My limiting belief is that because I am physically disabled, I can’t make a living wage. This thought keeps me stuck until I decide to challenge it. Which is why I am taking Deb’s advice and am pursuing a career as a Life Coach.
Here is where you come in. The tuition is roughly $5000 to become a Certified Life Coach. Living on Social Security for the past 20+ years hasn’t left me with a lot of extra cash. Deb suggested I start a GoFundMe campaign to raise money so I can make my dream a reality. So, I am asking all of you to donate whatever amount you feel comfortable donating to my campaign for Getting Joan a New Career.
Thank you for your time and support.
Blessings.
