Getting James a Braille Bible!!!

Donation protected
Hi!! Hannah and I are fundraising to get our blind friend James a Braille Bible!!!

While Hannah and I were grocery shopping, God crossed our paths with our new friend James as he was trying to find his groceries. I asked if he needed help to get all of his groceries and he did, so we are started our journey of finding all of our groceries together. We started to get to know James and pretty quickly he asked if we were religious. My faith is the most important thing about my life so I said yes and shared the gospel with him.
The Good News of Jesus is so powerful and what brings us into eternity with God so I want to also share with you what I got to share with him. This is that God sent Jesus to earth to come and live a sinless life and die for the sins of THE WORLD. Our sins divide our relationship with God, so before Jesus came, died and rose again 3 days later, people used to have to make sacrifices in order to reconcile relationship with the Holy God. Jesus dying on the cross, was the ultimate sacrifice so we no longer have to make physical sacrifices. All we have to do is repent and believe he died and rose again and we get to have a relationship with him!! It is a free gift that we get to accept! This has forever changed my life and brought me so much freedom. Now I get to look forward to being with God in heaven one day where there's no more suffering, sorrow, but there will be complete restoration of all things. I long for people to experience this love, freedom and relationship with Him.

As Hannah and I got to share this good news and about our own personal walks/relationship with God, James shared he wants this kind of relationship but first wants to experience the text himself. He wants to experience physically touching his own Bible and learning about God before making the commitment to follow and have a relationship with Jesus. He has been able to listen to the Bible audibly before, however he shared it is not his favorite way learning new things.

I take for granted that I get to see and read my own physical Bible. I cannot even begin to understand or know what it is like to be blind, but I do know that I can try my hardest to make the Word of God accessible for him in how he best needs it. My heart's biggest desire right now is for him to know Jesus personally and relationally. I believe in getting him this Braille Bible, he will get to experience God like he never has before because the Bible is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12)

The cost of buying an entire Braille Bible is $769.95. Hannah and I have been researching how to get one and this is the best one we have found. They're hard to find and others are more expensive than this. If you feel led to join us in prayer or giving, we appreciate it so much :) May God bless each one of you!
