Help Jack Adams fight ME/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis

Donation protected

Jack Adams
, a dear friend, a brother, a son, and above all, a kind & adventurous 24-year-old passionate about skydiving, cross-country running and coaching children in trampolining & athletics.  Always a camera in hand, he had a bright road ahead after graduating from the University of Brighton (England, UK), travelling the world setting up his new freelance career as a sports and nature videographer, until illness struck.

Now, he remains bedridden as he has been for the last 9 months and even though he keeps a positive mindset, the reality is that he needs constant assistance with activities of daily living and spends nearly all his time in bed.   He lacks the energy to see or talk to his dearest friends, walk around, watch television or even hold a conversation as his most prevalent health problems are extreme fatigue, weakness and intense brain fog.  His primary diagnosis was ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), a condition with no known treatment nor further testing offered by the NHS. His secondary diagnosis was Legionnaires, for which he received antibiotics and healed, but is now left suffering from a possible post-infection or separate unknown medical condition.

His friends and family are now more than ever compelled to help him recover his health, allowing him to return into the world and pick up where he left off.  It would be a dream come true to continue working with kids, encouraging them to pursue their wildest dreams whilst growing in the filmmaking industry to drive positive social change. As hard as it is to watch Jack suffer through the low quality of life that he has at the moment, his family is so hopeful to find answers which is where you can help.

Laboratories in Germany provide testing that is unavailable in the UK and we would like to send his blood samples there to be analyzed so that he can hopefully get a diagnosis and receive treatment. Here are the exact costs and our total goal needed to achieve this:

·         Initial consultation                                £  359

·         Laboratory tests (Profile 3)              £1257

·         Second consultation                            £  250

·         Total cost                                                    £1866

If Jack tests positive for Lyme disease we will need to find out how much treatment will cost at the second consultation.  We are happy to post a bill detailing the charges as well.

Jack’s friends and family miss his kind and bright soul whom will shine even brighter when he can start living a normal life again.  We are truly grateful and appreciative of any support for Jack, whether helping us spread the word, praying or donating, it all counts!
