Getting Iggy the English Bulldog back to health!

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Yuri. Unfortunately, something very sad has happened to me recently. I have a female English Bulldog named Iggy.

Iggy is a rescue that has been in our family for about two years now. Iggy has always been a strong, happy and energetic dog. She is one of those big attitudes in a short little body type of fur baby lol but very sweet as well.

We believe that Iggy must have ate something that was very toxic to her. We noticed that she began to vomit more than normal as well as diarrhea multiple times. She stopped eating and drinking water. I took her to a Vet that was affordable to me, which confirmed she had a strong case of bacteria in her stomach. The Vet medicated her and sent medication home that day. The next morning, I got up to check on her, and she had lost all strength in her and would fall forward when she tried walking, she wanted to drink water so bad but wouldn't drink it. At that very moment I made the decision to take her to the Emergency Veterinary. I knew she was very dehydrated and if I kept her home and medicated her with the meds the Vet previously had given me, she was not going to make it.

At the Vet it was confirmed that Iggy was in really bad shape, she needed to be hospitalized immediately. The quote was made and presented to me. I was left with the option of moving forward or putting her down. To some the easiest option would be to let her go right! But how would that be fair to her. I mean she is a strong, happy, loving three-year-old dog that didn't know any better when she decided to eat what she wasn't supposed too. Not as easy to make that decision if she had an existent illness or was suffering a terminal illness.

I decided to give her the chance to continue to live her happy life, even if it meant that I'd be stuck with a debt that in reality I cannot afford at the moment.

I normally never ask anyone for anything, I enjoy working for the things I have but this was an unforeseen situation to me. It's a lesson learned to prepare for this thing when you are a pet owner and will be making some changes soon to make sure, I won't be in another situation like this again. I am asking if anyone find it your heart to help donate for Iggy's treatment. Anything helps. She will remain at the hospital at least three days to stabilize her. Based on X-ray's and ultrasound she might have some damage or possible blockage in her intestines and would need surgery; the cost might increase but I will worry about that later. I just want her to recover enough to be able to eat and drink water on her own.

In advance I want to say if you are able to partake in this good deed. I appreciate you all very much and I will make sure to give you all an update on her health. I also pledge that once in a better place financially I will make sure to pay it forward to someone in my situation. Thank you.

Update: Iggy has passed away at the hospital. Unfortunately she was too weak and in pain. Her pancreas, kidneys and lungs were affected to the point of no return to health. The Vet explained that her last hours she was kept warm and on high pain medication which means she didn’t suffer.
With Iggy passing away the cost of the treatment decreased due to the hospital not utilizing medication and running more test.
I will leave the fund open in case you still want to donate toward the cost of the treatment given to her before she passed, Thank you .
This all was so sudden and sad because she was so healthy.
