Hi, I’m Emmie.
The last year has been a slow collapse followed by a quiet wake-up. I’ve been doing the hard work of getting honest about what isn’t sustainable in my life, and the truth is: I can’t rebuild in isolation anymore. I need community, stability, and a real chance to get back on my feet.
Right now, I’m alone in Washington State, unable to find a job, facing housing instability, and running out of time. I have a safe place to land in Lincoln, Nebraska with trusted friends, and I have a real path forward there: community support while I find a job, stabilize, and rebuild my life with intention.
This fundraiser is to cover the practical costs of getting there safely, with as little loss as possible. I’m trying to bring the essentials that keep me functioning and a few irreplaceable things that make life feel worth living, including my bike so I’ll have transportation once I arrive.
What the funds will cover:
One-way rental car (so I can bring essentials and my bike): ~$200–$250
Gas for the drive: ~$180
Food/water and basic travel needs: ~$40–$60
Phone service so I can coordinate housing/work/travel: $63
Contingency buffer (rental deposits/holds, unexpected fees, or Plan B travel): remainder
Goal: $800
Anything extra will go toward immediate basics once I arrive, and emergency backup if travel plans change.
If you can’t donate, sharing helps a lot. Thank you for supporting me in getting home to a safer chapter.
