Getting Dominick Home
My nephew Dominick is the most loving, energetic, and sweet 8 year old you’d ever meet. Since April 10th he’s been at Stony Brook Hospital with uncontrollable seizures, sometimes having up to 50 seizures a day.
Due to his uncontrollable seizures he had to be placed in an ICU, and eventually a medically induced coma. Dominick is on numerous high dosages of strong medication that would typically stabilize the situation, but even this has not worked.
Due to the severity of his situation and the inability to find a cure so he can be taken out of his coma and possibly undergo brain surgery, Dominick has to be moved to a hospital in Boston by helicopter. The move to Boston is going to be placing a huge financial burden on Dominick’s parents between medical bills and now having to travel and remain in Boston for an unknown amount of time. Any contribution will also help in his very long road to recovery.
I have put this together to help relieve my sister and brother-in-law of this financial burden so they have one less worry during this most. difficult time. My entire family has been hurting greatly during Dominick’s time away from home and we just want our little buddy back.
We appreciate anything to help, if you are unable to help financially, please keep Dominick included in your thoughts and prayers.
Dominick is the son of an NYPD MOS, the grandson of both a retired NYPD and SCPD MOS, and nephew of myself, an active SCPD MOS.
