Hello, this is Nathan Schout putting a fundraiser together for my brother, Daniel Schout. He's is going through divorce right now and it's been a little messy, so he needed to hire a lawyer. Things have been a little messy for a while, so his finances are in rough shape. I paid the bill for the lawyer so things could get settled. The plan is to get everything figured out with the house and the kids and the bills and then he could figure out how to settle up with me on the costs later on down the road. However, some of Dan's family has already contributed some funds to help out, so we've already covered some of the costs. And he said some co-workers were also interested in helping out. The lawyer bill was $3,500 (so far) and contributions have covered another $1,800, so he still needs $2,700. I'm not expecting people to cover the full gap, but any amount would be greatly appreciated by Dan and myself.
