CEOLA BREAKING BARRIERS FOR GIRLS IN COMBAT SPORTS

Ceola Kelly was born to be on wrestling matt. Her love for the sport started at a young age where she was taking the podium after several jiu jitsu matches at just 4 years old. Her passion for wrestling equally matches how great she is at this sport.

Earlier this month Ceola won GOLD at the Port Alberni Invitational Wrestling tournament, quickly after that she won the GOLD medal in the Vancouver Sea to Sky Zone Wrestling Championships qualifying her for the BC Provincial Wrestling Championships where she won GOLD in the Women's 43kg division. This qualified her for 2024 Canadian Wrestling Championships in Mississauga Ontario (April 5th-7th)!!!!! This was her schools first gold medal for wrestling in 15 years!

Ceola Kelly is paving the way for women in sports! She is inspiring girls to be fearless in the pursuit of what they are passionate about. While crushing her own goals, she is crushing the stigma around women competing in sports that used to be primarily dominated by men.

Financial barriers should not stop Ceola from competing at Nationals, but it might :-(. She has until March 8th to raise enough money for her airfare and accommodation. I know it is a rough time for everyone in this economy!
