On Monday March 9th, 2026 I went to the Banner ER and was admitted to ICU for pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, and damage to the right side of my heart -which appears to be reversible. Fortunately both the lung and the leg procedures seem successful and I was sent home 3/14/26.

My partner was also admitted to the hospital the same day - in fact the only reason I was checked out is because he refused to go without me and was adamant because he knew I was sicker than I realized. He has suffered from Crohn's since he was 10 months old and was down to 157 lbs at 6'4 which is why I was insistent that he be checked out. He was discharged Wednesday but with his medical condition he is limited to work only two days a week so we will be looking at disability benefits for him in the coming days and months.

I am out of work until 3/30 with light duty (as a server?) for the following two weeks. This means I will be without an income for the rest of March and half of April.

With both of us being out of work we need your help to keep our home while we heal.
