Getting Back on the Highway to Hell
"Home is where the van is."
With no home to go to presently, and this being my means of work, mobility, and shelter, I spent the past 6 months trying to get The Green Jelly Bean (Green Frijole) back on the road by immersing myself in a self-taught automotive "crash course". It worked. For 2 weeks.
I'm capable, able, and willing to engage in hard work to survive. But I'm in too deep to pull myself out of the hole alone. I don't like asking for help. But I'm so close to rock bottom I already speak fluent Catfish.
The Green Frijole needs a "new" used Japanese import engine. The cost is about $750. Then there's additional costs for install (even if I do it myself) and some new parts, and yada yada. Every hour of every day that goes by puts me more in jeopardy of the law, losing my stored possessions, etc.
I spent Christmas, New Years, and my birthday (Jan 10) curled up alone in the back of my van. I'd like to take $66 and treat myself to a dinner. I'll likely enjoy that alone, too. But it'd be a nice reprieve from cold food out of a can. And would help my spirit.
That's all I got.
Thank you.
