Hey everyone—this is a little outside my comfort zone, but I wanted to be real and ask for help in a practical way.
Last year, I lost my car in a fire, which completely disrupted my ability to get around. I was able to get another vehicle for a while, but recently had to let it go—not due to routine costs, but because the next round of repairs would have pushed me into a financial situation I couldn’t afford.
Right now, I’m working consistently and doing everything I can to stay on track, but without reliable transportation, even basic things become a challenge—and rideshare costs add up quickly.
Instead of trying to replace a car, I’m aiming for something much more realistic and sustainable: a solid, gently used hybrid bike that I can rely on for commuting and day-to-day errands.
My goal is $250–$300, which would cover:
* A dependable used hybrid bike
* A strong front light for visibility
* A flashing rear light for safety
This would allow me to:
* Get to and from work reliably
* Reduce transportation costs significantly
* Stay independent without relying on rideshare or others
I’m putting in what I can myself, but I could really use help closing the gap.
If you’re able to contribute, thank you—it genuinely means a lot. And if not, even sharing this helps more than you know. Every little bit gets me closer.
I’m just trying to take a smart step forward and build some stability back into my day-to-day life.
Thank you for reading.
