Getting Andy back on his feet

Kristi made this post on her facebook on January 3rd- "Friends and Family, first let me say Thank You all for the prayers, God is listening! On Tuesday January 1st, Andy was admitted to ICU and he has been diagnosed with bacterial menengitas. He has been sedated since arriving at the Hospital Tuesday night and I couldn't be more pleased to let you all know that tonight they have been able to remove his breathing tube and taken him off sedation. He knows who I am (also the first time since Tuesday), I am able to communicate to him what has happened and he understands. In true Andy fashion he asked if I called his boss. This turn of events will allow us to communicate with him as he continues to fight off the menengitas. I believe this is God's message to us that he has turned the corner and will make a full recovery. I would not normally choose to communicate these kind of life events in this fashion but it does allow me give all of you this blessed news at the same time. Again, you could never know how grateful I am for all the love support and prayers you have given us. And with that my friends, I am also pleased to tell you that I will be going to bed shortly and feel confident that I will be able to sleep for more than 2 hours."
Andy has since been released from the hospital but still has more road ahead of him, that includes physical therapy and at home services. Kristi and Andy are both extremely hard workers, are always the first to help others and they don't ask for anything in return. Right now they need us to rally around them with love and support, plus we all know if it were up to Andy he'd already be back to work. They believe the support of their community around them helped Andy get through the first few scary days. Our hope is that we can help them get through the next few weeks as well.
