Hello my name is John Irving Jr. and Mary Irving and we need your help.

Recently my dad has been diagnosed with 3rd stage bone cancer and his health has been in rapid decline. He is now currently hospitalized.

My dad has been an inspiration in my life. He is one of the greatest men I have ever known. He has also been a role model for young male co-workers who call him "Dad" because they were not fortunate as I have been to have someone like him as a father. He is known to many in the Wilshire Vista (Pico-Fairfax) neighborhood as the "Mayor of Pico". You could say he's an ambassador of sorts, always helping out others and giving helpful advice to the wealthy and poor alike. There are even pets that come in with their owners to say hello.

Because of his wisdom & steadfast faith, we are an optimistic family. John has taught us to have faith in God and know that he will always have a plan for us no matter how long we have to wait for it. Now that he is out of commission it will be hard to keep sailing. This means unforeseen medical bills, house payment, car notes, utility bills, and other life issues that we cannot foresee will make it difficult to stay afloat. All of your donations will go towards giving him the best care possible and making sure that we can get this solider back on his feet again.
