Hi, my name is Mya Walker.  I'm a 6th grade inventor.  I won 1st place at the Connecticut State Finals on April  28th, 2018 for my working model invention, THE PUSHUP 4000.  What's more exciting is that I received an invitation to the National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo (NICEE – see   www.stemie.org)  in Dearborn, MI May 31st - June 2nd.  

My invention is the PUSHUP 4000.  It is a working prototype of a machine that assists you with pushups as well as helping your form so that your pushup position is not compromised while trying to build muscle and strength.  This prototype has proven successful through testing and I am very excited to share it with more people in hopes to get a patent to build this machine for schools, gyms, hospitals, and people who like to work out at home.

Costs to attend the conference for me and one parent is going to be:
1) Registration fee for inventor is $300
2) Registration fee is $350 for guardian/parent. 
4) Flight costs are looking to be around $450 each for round trip.
5) Lodging is $148 per night * 3 nights (possibly 4 based on flights).
