As most of you know, dad contracted a life threatening infection while on vacation with his family in Hawaii. His "vacation" was extended by 3 weeks unexpectedly. As you can imagine the every day expenses added up such as hotel stay, travel expenses back and forth to the hospital, rescheduling of their flight home, food, etc..
