Let's get Lance to Europe & Back...

Donation protected
Hi!  Just to warn you…this has been written by a huge fan of the Davidson family, Lance his parents Donnie and Rebecca and his brother Brad.  I had the honor of meeting Lance and the entire Davidson family earlier this year when he joined our brand new Junior Development team Welland racing. Not only were we all impressed by his skills and abilities on a bike, but his dedication, work ethic and politeness make him a standout no matter the environment.

Lance’s goal is to be a professional cyclist, and our goal as a junior development program is to get him noticed by the more established top juniors programs that travel the world and get him to the large races where he can be seen by the Professional teams. You can only imagine our excitement (there was screaming and jumping up and down involved) when we heard he got a phone call from not one but TWO teams inviting him to be a guest rider in European races.  This is a dream come true for all of us and we are hoping to help cover the cost of plane tickets, hotels and any other expenses that may pop up for the Davidson family.  (Let’s be honest, who plans for a 3 week trip to Europe in their emergency fund?)

Lance had been invited to ride in multiple races in Belgium for two weeks (we just looked at the list and we laughed because we can’t pronounce any of the locations or race names), he will then travel to Ireland and participate in the Tour of Ireland for 6 days.

A little about Lance.  Lance is a 15 year old boy from Hephzibah, Georgia. He started road cycling when he was 9 years old and started racing when he was 11. During his first year of racing, he finished on the podium 6 out of 9 races. He won a youth challenge in Claxton, Georgia when he was 10 by riding his first century. He won the Georgia state championship in 2015 & 2016. According to USA Cycling Lance is currently ranked 5th in the nation for his age group. Lance trains like a madman and rides an average of 230 miles a week, he is extremely self motivated and has the best support crew from all over Georgia including, Outspokin’ Bicycles in Augusta, Perry Rubber Bike Shop in Savannah, teammates at Welland Racing and NextGen Athlete Development and of course his awesome parents.

Please consider helping us send Lance and his family to Europe for this extraordinary opportunity.  If you have any questions please let me know.  Thank you so much!!
