Dear Family and Friends,
I am feeling lucky today!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
As you know, I have run a few marathons in recent years. On April 28, 2019, I will run the London Marathon with a purpose and for a good cause: to help the charity “Get Kids Going!”
Get Kids Going! is a very admirable organization, which gives disabled children and young people the wonderful opportunity of participating and competing in sports by providing equipment (such as specially built wheelchairs), training, physical therapy, entry and travel fees, and much more. This charity also supplies young challenged athletes with wheelchairs for everyday use, for home, school, and play.
I am very excited and honored to be a part of the Get Kids Going! team, and I committed to raise $2,620 for them, 26.2 miles being the distance of a marathon. I am now in my 6th week of training out the 16 weeks plan, have run over 140 miles so far, and I want to humbly ask for your financial support. For example, the cost of a lightweight or sports wheelchair ranges from $4,000 to $5,000 approximately. Therefore, any donation, even the smallest one, would make an amazing difference for the organization, and would help me to reach my goal to support these wonderful kids.

To cross the finish line of a marathon is a major personal achievement, but can you even imagine what it means for a young challenged athlete to cross any finish line, the hours of training, the pain, the test of one’s limits, the perseverance, and the will power leading to his or her success? What an achievement, what an inspiration!
