The children will soon begin their 2nd term, We are hoping to raise funds for school fees. There are 20 students total, some in elementary school, other High School. These are the orphans we have been caring for.
School fee per child, (which including exam fees, and school trip fee) total about $350 per child.
In Kenya orphans are considered worthless. But not to God, and not to us. We treasure them, and Its our duty to take care of them. (James 1:27). (And not only feed and clothed them, but parent them 24/7 the best we can, they are our children. So if you can help, or continue to help supporting them, please do so. All the donations are helping so much.
But our brethren are still suffering severely. Its been the worst couple of years of suffering I've seen in Kenyan since my "feet on the ground" there back in 2005, that's over 20 years ago. Currently we have been struggling to keep them alive, even with porridge, due to lack of ingredients.
We are making progress, trying to get on our feet, like I mentioned in my last letter. We are currently planting our second one-acre garden with more bananas. Once we begin harvesting bananas, our starvation will be much eased.
Let us also realize that suffering is a daily occurrence for many (if not most) of our brethren living in these 3rd world countries. Please continue to let others know about the suffering, and become aware that many of our brethren around this world are suffering. Those of us (especially those of us living in total comfort) need to consider our poor brethren. many have been crying out for help for a long time. But not many are aware of their cry and suffering. (1 John 3:17). If others knew of the suffering, they would help. Thank God for those of you who have hearts, and have been not only helping, bur continuing to go above and beyond. Your reward surely awaits you.
