I really appreciate you taking the time to read this!
My name is Carly O’Hagan and I recently graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Secondary English Education. I have been blessed with an incredible opportunity to teach English in Madrid with the Evangelical Christian Academy!
Since I was a young kid I have always had a dream of working internationally. I have memories of spending hours on the internet looking at all the different places in the world I wanted to see someday. As my faith developed throughout college, I realized that the passion that I have for seeing the world is much larger than my own personal dreams. I learned about all the amazing opportunities that education provided for me to serve others, and most importantly, to serve God.
When I work at ECA (Evangelical Christian Academy), I will be teaching young adults from all over the world grammar, writing, English literature and AP level classes. This is an amazing opportunity that will present me with real teaching experience, while satisfying my dream of doing missionary work.
In order to successfully accomplish this lifetime goal, I would be so grateful for any help you can provide.
As we often know, God can move in some pretty mysterious ways. I have applied, interviewed and been accepted all within one week and I have to leave in less than a month! I am simply not able to raise such a large amount of money on my own in that short of a time span (hence the gofundme :]), which is why I am asking for your help! I need $8,000 to cover my insurance, flight and living expenses while I am in Madrid.
I understand that the holidays are a financially tough time for everyone, and the last thing I want to do is put someone in a tough spot. I am humbly asking for your help in getting me to Spain because every little bit helps. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, and one that I know God is going to do amazing things with!
If you feel called to give, I would love to get your information so I can send you a proper thank you!
God Bless!
