First of all, thank you to everyone and anyone who is here for Nelson and is reading this GoFund me story at this very moment. Your support means the world to us and his family.


Regrettably, on the morning of November 4th, 2016 our Nelson was in a tragic car accident. Firefighters and paramedics could barely get him out of the vehicle when they arrived at the scene.  Nelson is currently in an induced coma due to a brain hemorrhage and has various other fractures through out his body. According to his doctors, he is going to need weeks, if not months of intense medical care.  

Nelson was 4 weeks away from graduating from Florida International University with a degree in Business. As an honors college student, Nelson was planning on pursuing his Master's degree next year, and he already had a full time job waiting for him upon graduation with a bright and promising future ahead.

Nelson is only 23 years old. He has been the man of his house ever since he was a young boy. He has a loving mother, sister, two brothers, and a long-time girlfriend who are all by his side. His family is in need of any help they can get to ensure he receives the best care possible as his medical bills are already mounting. Already, he has to have two more surgeries on Monday (11/7/16). Collectively, we are coming together as a community of friends, family, and school-mates of people that Nelson loved and touched.

We wish Nelson a strong recovery and we hope to help his family in any way possible through these incredibly difficult times.
