URGENT
YOUNG SINGLE MOTHER, a recent college graduate, and living in a HOMELESS SHELTER desperately needs YOUR HELP. This talented young woman, caught in a horrific family situation, has been living in a homeless shelter for 6 months now – while amazingly maintaining an A grade point average this semester at Touro. BUT IT CAN’T GO ON. She is at the end of her rope and has ended up in ER with anxiety/panic attack just recently.
WANTED: kind hearted individuals who will DONATE $$$ NOW to help get this young mother out of the shelter and into a studio or a basement apartment in Brooklyn.
GOAL: $8,000 which will be used for security deposit and at least 5 months of rent, setting up a new home, and expenses.
Due to rules and regulations such as curfew, and an extremely tight regulated schedule, the recipient was not able to meet with clients and earn extra income she has been earning prior to entering the homeless shelter. During these 3-4 months the recipient will restart commission sales job on part time basis, find a self-supporting job (actively searching already), kiss goodbye to the NY State Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, & study for and pass her LSAT exam (current diagnostic score is 141).
"Your assistance will help one of the most resilient and determined individuals I have ever met become totally independent – and retain custody of her son." - A. D.
“But I see now how true it is what they say in these parts, that the wheel of fortune turns faster than a mill-wheel, and that those who were up yesterday are down to-day” – “Don Quixote”, Miguel Cervantes
