Hello friends!
I’d like to share with you about an amazing opportunity that I believe God is leading me to - a chance to serve military children in Brussels on a short-term mission trip. This is my request: That you would be a financial and prayer partner in this mission with me. Here are the details:
June 22nd- July 1st I will be serving with my worship team at a middle school camp in Belgium that reaches out to children of U.S. veterans living in Europe (all branches of the military). The name of the organization is Jacob's Generation. It is a ministry of Freedom Outreach International. I will be serving as the worship leader in the daily worship services. I will be leading in song, prayer, over each set and within the scope and needs of larger services. As you can see, I will definitely need your prayers! Here are more details:
FINANCIAL:
I need to raise 2000 dollars to help with air transportation, lodging, in-country travel and to offset some of the food costs. Any gift will mean a great deal to me since the summer airfares are a bit high. Now that I've raised enough to purchase my plane ticket, I need my remainingl goal to be reached by June 1st!
PRAYERS:
Please pray for provision of funds, safety in travels, for confidence in our calling and appointments, team unity, and for us to serve with humility, compassion, discernment, passion joy and boldness.
As a veteran, wife to an active-duty airman and mother, this mission is very close to my heart. I cannot count the times I've spent comforting my daughter as her daddy deployed, went on a last minute mission, or worked past her bedtime. Yet, not every child has a comforter when they need one, even my own daughter goes untended to in her grief sometimes.
You see when we think of the military, we mostly think of the veteran parents, but our children didn't have a choice of the sacrificial lifestyle that we, the parents,chose. It is an honorable choice, but our precious children carry with them a unique set of challenges and grief.
These challenges are ones that I long to minister to; I cannot explain how blessed I feel to have this opportunity!
Please prayerfully consider how you would be willing to support me during this trip - either through prayer, financial support, or both. And, thank you so much for your love, prayers, financial support and encouragement. Your support means so much to me! I am incredibly grateful for ANY amount you could give and for EVERY PRAYER you speak!
