Abby's Medical Bills

My name Megan and I am raising money to help with my niece's hospital bills.

On June 18th, my brother called me pretty frantic because his 17 month old daughter was acting really strange. He and his wife had been at work all day and after they got her from her caregiver, they noticed she was making a clicking noise with her mouth and was digging through blankets like she was looking for something. She refused to eat and she wouldn't stop with the blankets. We were trying to brainstorm what was wrong, but it was hard for me to guess since I couldn't actually see her behavior. At first we thought maybe ab allergic reaction to something. Then I thought maybe a tick bite. Later my mom and I thought possible head injury.

My brother and his wife tried everything the could think of, but after 10 hours of this non stop behavior, they finally decided to take her to the ER. They didn't do this right away because they have no health insurance since my brother just started a new job.

After getting to the ER and having blood work done, they found that Abby had tested positive for amphetamines, meaning she got into some prescription medication earlier that day.

Saturday morning (6/19) she finally fell asleep after 26+ hours of being awake. We thought she was finally in the "green" and feeling better. After a long nap, though, she woke up messing with her blankets again (the same "digging" motion) and continuous crying. More blood work was done to see if the amphetamines were still in her system. As of right now we don't have the results. All we know is she'll be staying another night in the hospital.

I want to help raise money for these hospital bills because I want to take some of the stress off my brother and his family.
