Get Your Booty to the Poll -- and vote for Kamala Harris!

In 2020, our voter campaign GET YOUR BOOTY TO THE POLL went viral and helped shine a light on the impact of voting on our communities. Well it’s 2024, and we want to do another PSA, but things are a little different for this election. GET YOUR BOOTY TO THE POLL was intentionally non-partisan, but now democracy is literally at stake. This time we're encouraging folks to vote for a specific candidate -- Kamala Harris for President.

52% of white women voted for Trump in 2016 and 55% voted for him in 2020. We asked some political strategists why this is, and it turns out that a lot of those women simply tend to go with who their husbands like, so that's who we are targeting -- specifically working class, middle aged white women that vote how their husbands vote.

As much as we’d like to do GET YOUR BOOTY TO THE POLL redux for this election, you can only catch lightning in a bottle like that once, so we’re changing it up. The premise of the campaign is “YOU HAVE NEEDS TOO.” We use double entendre and sexual innuendo as a working class woman confides to her friend that she’s going to finally put her needs first. What at first seems like she plans to have an affair is revealed that she's voting for Kamala Harris.

The PSA is not sponsored or endorsed by the Harris/Walz campaign, although a National Democratic Media Strategists have agreed to help us get it out in the world when it's finished. We're starting this pretty late, so don't delay!
