Early this summer, Winnie was born to Ryen and Amber. Their story has been unique since day one - Winnie’s journey earth side was strenuous & came with several unexpected hurdles for both her & Amber. Ryen has stayed diligently by their sides through it all. After extended postpartum and NICU stays, the three were finally able to be reunited - however, they have not been able to return home yet. Winnie has been hospitalized ever since & been seen by various specialists. So far, she has received a diagnosis of Hyperinsulinemia. Her case is considered abnormal & has not resolved with regular treatment of this condition. Ryen, Amber, & Winnie are currently in Seattle continuing to battle with insurance on getting appropriate care & finding answers to the questions & unknown possibilities that remain. There is a specialty hospital across the country that has a plan to help, but there are seemingly endless hoops to jump through in order to get their transfer approved.

There is not yet an end in sight and likely won’t be until there is clarity on Winnie’s condition(s) & a treatment + management plan in place. The financial burden is growing heavy and I am hopeful that our community can help alleviate some of that for Ryen & Amber. They are both contributors to great things in the valley - Ryen has coached / mentored several student-athlete teams across various sports & is highly respected by parents, co-coaches, & students. Amber is known & very well loved for her ability to connect with humans as their genuine selves & then transform their lives with her warmth & her wellness / esthetician expertise. There is nothing they could have done to prepare for such a rocky journey into parenthood & they would be so grateful for your support whether it be monetary, prayerful, or other means of encouragement.
