Nataly Marie Vargas was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on her 2nd birthday, May 11th 2018. She is currently at Texas Children’s Hospital where she has started chemo therapy which she will have to undergo for possibly the next 3 years. Dr’s have told the Vargas family that a blood and bone marrow transplant procedure may be necessary as well. We are asking for any donations to help the Vargas family with their on going medical costs.
Nataly’s mother rights:
About 1 month ago my only child was having fevers and was not behaving like herself. She was completely changed. My happy, energetic, beautiful daughter was not there. She cried with pain, had rough days and nights. After taking her to her pediatrician she diagnosed her with a double ear infection and respiratory infection.
The pediatrician prescribed her meds and had her on breathing steroids. After 2 days of taking the meds she still was having those rough days with fevers on and off. The pediatrician suggested to wait and see after 5 days if they went away. They didnt... On the 5-10-18 (The fifth day) the day before her second birthday, I took her to get examined. The pediatrician physically couldn't find anything wrong with Nataly. She decided to have some blood test done to see if she wasn't seeing something. The following day 5/11/18 the results came back and they found her white cell count to be too high.
The pediatrician ...told us to rush her to the emergency room at Texas Children's Hospital. Where she was diagnosed with preB Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and considered very high risk.
