My Brother: Scott Bigham has had a string of really bad luck this year.
He lost his job and his health insurance benefits a few months ago due to the company making downsizing changes. His truck broke down, and he had to get it fixed. Then he got extremely sick two days before his 6oth birthday and had to be hospitalized.
He went to the ER at Baylor Scott and White Hospital where they started treating him for gall stones and found he also had an extreme case of pancreatitis with multiple related complications. They have removed his gall bladder and now we have come to find out that a portion of his pancreas has died. They are talking now about yet another surgery. He has been in the hospital now for 36 days. He will be in the hospital quite a while longer. The doctors say he has a long road to recovery from pancreatitis.
Those that know Scott are well aware that he will help anyone in need. He has the biggest heart in the world. He is a great father, brother and friend. He has a son with a traumatic brain injury and and a younger son that is trying to finish college. He also helps our 82 year old mother on a daily basis. I am hoping some of our friends will help him out with his mounting medical bills and future pharmaceutical costs.
Please share our story with friends and family and let's him get through this ordeal.
