GET WELL KOBEE

I was so fortunate to meet Mandy (Kobee's Mom) this year at Southside. She is a true giver who is always there to help anyone who needs it. She has a fun-loving spirit and is the ultimate team player. I have seen her positively impact so many staff members and students at Southside. I would be willing to wager she has left EVERYONE at Southside better.
Kobee is a wicked cool kiddo who loves outdoor adventures. You can often find him with his family off-roading and camping. He loves soccer, animals, and just like any middle school dude, he likes the Xbox! But what makes Kobee stand out is his character. He loves making his friends and family laugh. Much like his mother, he is always looking for ways to be helpful and has a genuine and kind heart.
A few weeks ago, Mandy's presence was sorely missed at school. I was devastated to learn that Kobee was sick, but not just sick. Kobee found himself extremely ill and in the hospital with what they suspected was a nasty strain of the flu and pharyngitis.
During this time, Kobee developed a stutter that has led to some serious concerns. Luckily, he has the best advocate for a mother. He was sent home last week but still struggled with significant fatigue, headaches, shaking, and more stuttering. This is scary for the whole family. After many tests, they discovered Kobee has Chiari. This condition attacks his brain. Kobee's pupils are two different sizes. They are going to the eye doctor and neurologist to figure out their next steps.
As you can imagine, the bills will start adding up, and the last thing a mother should have to worry about while advocating for her child is money.
I ask that you search your heart. At a minimum, will you please hold Kobee and his family in your prayers? If you find it in your heart, please donate to this family and support Kobee in his path to getting well!
