Hi for those of you who don't know me, my names Veronica I'm 25 years old and for the most part.. I'm just your average 20 something year old.  The only thing that separates me from anyone really is that when I was 8 years old I was diagnosed with with Membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN) . Basically what that means is that my body attacked my healthy kidneys due to an immune system malfunction. I was luckily enough that my mother in July of '01 donated one of her kidneys to me. I was also fortunate enough to have it last me through high-school and most of my young adult life. Unfortunately starting around 2013 the docs noticed some scarring ,after they had asked me to do a biopsy. They didnt really think much of it until a year later when my creatinine started sky rocketing. In late 2014 the docs officially started asking me to take higher dosages of my immuno suppressants and to also to start thinking about the future possibility of being put back on dialysis. At this point they did give me hope that it might be possible to turn it around. Unfortunately this didn't happen, my sickness progressed and unfortunately in May 2015 I was in a ' medically induced' coma due to PRES syndrome due to my failing Kidney. I was in a coma for about a week and when I finally came to I was immediately put back on dialysis.  And so has been my life since the summer of 2015 three days a week for three hours every monday, wednesday, friday I have gone to dialysis.  There is so many things to say about dialysis the amount of surgeries I have had to ovego these last 4 years is something I WOULD NEVER WISH on someone. The grooling hours spent in clinic, this is not the way to live.  As of recently I have asked to change the way I get my dialysis and have finally made the switch over to peritoneal where I can do my treatments at home which is great! The reason ive made this page is I really need help Im about to loose one of my insurances  and ANYTHING YOU GUYS CAN HELP WITH WOULD BE GRAND.  My journey is a long one but I Am going to get through this. I just need help so I can have this transplant. ALL FUNDS WOULD GO DIRECTLY TO MY Medical bills.
