Get us to Odyssey of the MInd World Finals!

The 5th-grade team from Burr Elementary School has accepted an invitation to compete in World Finals for Odyssey of the Mind. Please help fund their trip to Michigan State University in May.
Odyssey of the Mind (OOTM) is a group of students who participate together in how to creatively solve a problem presented to them both in a spontaneous and long-term format. The team must create, fund, act their solution to judges and most importantly collaborate on all of the above. This year our team choose “The Walls of Troy” which required the team to create their own version of a Trojan horse.
When asked what OOTM means to them here are their responses;
“Odyssey of the Minds gives me a new a perspective on things. When I look at a problem I see different solutions and instead of going for the easiest and most obvious I will explore all the solutions and find the best one.”
Luke
“It's a really fun and creative team that I enjoy being a part of. I like that the problems leave a lot of room for us to do our own thing, figure it out and see how it all comes together at the end.”
Julia
“It’s great seeing everything pull together at the end. We work really hard and the final presentation is so fun to create and present to everyone at the competition.
Jessica
It’s a fun and creative way to push your thinking to the limits and have fun with friends at the same time.
Logan
“I get to hang out with my friends that are really funny when it comes to acting. It is just really cool to be a part of a real team.”
Victoria
“I like being part of Odyssey because it challenges me to think in different ways and work with others to come up with answers.”
Shrey
This team has worked hard all year, meeting once a week or more to brainstorm, sketch out, and rehearse their solutions. By donating money to fund our trip you will help offset the costs of room/board and airfare for each student.
Logan, Jessica, Shrey, Julia, Luke and Victoria thank you for your donation!
Any donation amount is welcome!
Sincerely,
