Get Tynan to Tournaments

I’m Tynan Gannett, the first male Nova Scotian to ever make Volleyball Canada’s national beach team. I grew up in Dartmouth and recently competed for Team Nova Scotia at the 2022 Canada Summer Games in Niagara ON. Following the Canada Games, I was invited to attend try outs for the national program. After being selected, in January I moved to Toronto to start training full time and begin my journey into international competition. While the experience so far has been incredible, these international competitions come with a cost as we travel all over the world. As athletes, we are responsible for covering all of our own travel and some of our accommodation costs to and from competitions we attend. I love beach volleyball and being able to compete internationally for my country. The platform I’ve been given to help inspire future East Coast athletes to pursue their dreams is not lost on me either.
