Get Tyler out of Jail and Into Rehab

Our Tyler Colbert has struggled with mental illness for several years. Last month, Tyler experienced a mental health crisis while at his parent's house that resulted in an accidental fire in which no one was hurt. Tyler was arrested for arson and is currently in jail in Osage county awaiting trial facing anywhere from 10 to 35 years in prison for an accident that occurred during a psychological episode. This is the first time Tyler has been arrested and has never exhibited violent behavior toward anyone in his life. His friends and family are concerned about his well-being and lack of access to high-quality mental health care as he awaits trial in jail.

We are raising money to help us pay the $3000 Tyler needs to make bail so he can be checked into a clinic and get the help he needs. The judge has said that if we can pay his bail and connect him to an inpatient psychiatric treatment center, Tyler will have the chance to be tried under Tulsa’s mental health docket and receive a reduced or suspended sentence on the condition of him getting professional long-term psychiatric treatment.

We are asking you—our friends, family, and neighbors—to contribute what you can to help us save Tyler. He is literally the sweetest, most creative person and a joy in our lives. We can’t sit by and let the criminal injustice system ruin his life for an accidental fire that could have been prevented with the right mental health treatment. We know Tyler has so many friends and family members who love him and he just needs the opportunity to get better.
