We all know that nurses in Ontario are a much needed group of people. While there are spaces to be filled, some costs associated with registering as a nurse can be hard to come by, especially with a family like ours. We are a family of 5, myself, my spouse Charlie, and 3 kiddos. Charlie graduated with top marks in his Registered Practical Nursing Diploma from Fanshawe College back in April of 2025. He is working as a PSW currently and I'm attending school full time to further ourselves and help to better the lives of our children. We have a mortgage, and bills and all those things that adults have with a home. We had planned to set some money aside for the purpose of registration, but ended up in a lurch due to having to pay for repairs on our only vehicle. Without it, neither of us are able to work, get our kids to and from school and appointments etc. Put all that into the current economy and bam! here we are nearly a year later without registration or exam money for the nursing licensing in sight. So we're hoping to have this sorted by crowd funding with your help. Its not a lot, but were hopeful and any amount will help.
The goal is closer to $3000 and not the $5000 asked for, and some may know that the registration and exam costs aren't that much. But the additional costs are to help compensate for travel time, and the time off of work required to complete the exam.
We genuinely hope you can help and are grateful for everyone who will.
