Animal Rescue Transport saves lives!!
There are numerous overcrowded and underfunded animal shelters primarily in the southern region of the United States. Animals are euthanized regularly at these shelters due to a lack of space, time, or other resources. Meanwhile in other parts of the United States such as the Northeast, shelters and rescue groups may have a much larger number of potential adopters and empty kennels available for dogs or cats in need. Dogs and cats once destined for the euthanasia room at the overcrowded shelters are saved when they are escorted onto a transport. Our nonprofit will drive these animals to shelters and rescue groups in areas of the United States where adoption rates are higher and resources are more plentiful. Transport literally saves lives and can be the difference between life and death for these animals.
Today, I am asking for your help to build and join a nonprofit organization devoted to the relocation of homeless animals. Having researched and driven various animal rescue transport vehicles, our organization would like to purchase a school bus and build the inside of it for the sole purpose of animal rescue transports. School buses are the most heavily regulated vehicles and have the highest safety standards of large commercial vehicles. At our organization safety will always be our priority. Used school buses are available at reasonable costs of less than $10,000. These vehicles have a reputation for being reliable and the cost to maintain the bus would be reasonable given the ability to easily find parts. We are asking for $20,000 to cover the cost of a bus purchase and the materials/supplies needed to build the inside to safely secure crates and provide the animals with a comfortable ride.
We will be starting our nonprofit this year under the name Happy Howling Rescue Transport and are looking to make a large difference in the lives of shelter animals immediately. This transport vehicle can easily save hundreds of lives each month. We ask that you contribute anything you can to help cover the costs of our life-saving efforts!
