Hi! My name is Micah and I'm a brand-new independent filmmaker. I've been working in content creation for a couple of years now, building up my creative voice and trying to inspire as many people as possible. For my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@IlluminedMicah), I've created a range of content, from film reviews and short films, to music videos and inspirational reminders. I'm currently focusing my efforts on short filmmaking, and the next step is film festivals.

I recently released a short film entitled The Trail. It's a psychological trip through the mind. I wrote, shot, starred in, and edited the film. I poured my heart and soul into this project and I want as many people as possible to see it. I think it has something important to say about the different ways we manifest ourselves, and how dangerous that can be if we don't stay true to who we really are.

I'm trying to raise some money in order to enter this film into a few local and international film festivals. Getting a short screened at a festival is a huge step forward in the filmmaking journey, and I'd love for this film to get me there. I want to be able to inspire and uplift as many people as possible with my work, and you can help with that. The film is available on my channel. All I'm asking is that you watch it, and if you think it's worth sharing, donate a little something to get it seen by more people. Even just sharing the film with friends and family that might be edified by it is a huge help as well.

THE PLAN: I'm hoping to raise about $600 to enter a few film festivals, three in Austin, and three international.

Entering these events doesn't guarantee a win, but it does give me a chance to share my work with a broader audience at the very least, and hopefully get some recognition in the process!
