Red Sky Games is an indie studio based in Perth, West Australia.
We work on games across a variety of genres and platforms. From the tabletop to digital, apps on your phones to games on your consoles, PC. A core principle of all our games is to make a player first experience. We want to bring you into these worlds and make you feel a part of them. You have meaningful, intricate and complex decisions to make.
We don't struggle with ideas, where we struggle with funding and support. Despite all the work we've put in over the years there's been no help from any funding body. Our own efforts at raising funds have no gotten us any traction. Chasing feedback has been just as futile, many different groups offering no feedback at all. Ideas that can only be submitted twice before it's totally ineligible and already applied for once.
What you're helping and supporting is getting the team to get to Pax, show off some of the work we've done. Put us on the RADAR of publishers, help us gain funds to be able to work full time.
From the role playing game we've written, intended to be simple to play through to co-operative board games where everyone plays against the game. Our digital titles where you build armies and fleets, guiding their character and development across entire campaigns. Tell the stories we want to tell, from campaigns to reclaim ancestral lands to journeys between the stars, wars fought within solar systems other than our own.
Getting to this event allows us to bring our current prototypes to the event and get people playing them would be invaluable for our small team.
Among our numbers are neurodiverse individuals, non-binary and gender diverse individuals. We are a studio based on accepting people as they are. It's not who they are and how they see themselves, it's what they can do and bring to the team.
What you are paying for is for as many of the team as possible to get over to PaxAus. Travel and accommodation for the trip over to Melbourne this October. Ideally this covers everyone who's free to travel to Pax Aus. Any spare funds would be saved and put towards the event next year.
