We are the Touch Deutschland Mixed Open Team, a newly formed Touch Rugby National Team that will represent Germany at the 2024 Touch World Cup in Nottingham, England (July 15th – 21st).

Our team is composed of female and male athletes who share a passion for the sport and its values of diversity and inclusiveness. This season the Women's Open and Men's Open teams joined forces to build this promising Mixed Open Team. We are extremely hard working and dedicated to improving our skills and performance on the field.

Touch rugby is a fast-paced and exciting game that involves minimal contact and no tackling, making it accessible and enjoyable for players of all ages and abilities. It is also a great way to improve fitness, agility, coordination, and teamwork.

Touch Rugby is an amateur sport in Germany, and players must pay for their own expenses such as travel costs, accommodation, equipment, and registration fees.

Not only for the World Cup itself, but the whole preparation period that precedes this big tournament, players have to invest time & money in travelling around Germany for training camps, going to test matches against other nations and other international tournaments to build the necessary team synergy this sport requires.

To have an idea, the costs per player only for the World Cup are around 1,250 EUR and a team is composed by 16 players, 2 coaches, 1 manager and 1 physio.

This means we need your support to make our dream of competing at the world stage reality!
