Help the Higgenbottoms get back home

We are the Higgenbottoms, Jamie and Michelle. My husband Jamie, our daughters and I are currently stranded in Arkansas after a legitimate series of unfortunate events. In September of this year, we sold our home and got rid of most everything in it to pay off debt and start over financially living in an RV. We searched carefully and purchased a truck from a small town dealership in Tennessee, and found our RV from a sweet couple in Kentucky. With the proceeds from the sale of our home, we were able to do this without financing anything- but it didn’t leave us with much to save for emergencies. This brings me to our current situation. We took a trip to Texas for thanksgiving and to attend my nephew’s wedding. After a sick child, a lost cat, and a few other complications, we finally headed for home yesterday (11/30). About halfway home, our truck started heating up. It was about midnight, but I just started texting campgrounds nearby in the hopes that someone was still up and had a spot for us. We found a campground 20 minutes away in Brinkley, AR. When the car parts store opened, Jamie went and got a few parts and things to try and diagnose what was going on with the truck. He had a feeling it was a blown head gasket- but we were hopeful we could fix the issue with only a couple hundred dollars. After diagnostics from a local diesel mechanic and taking things apart and putting back together all day, we’ve discovered that it is in fact a blown head gasket. We are thankful that we have our home with us and we have full hookups at a safe campground, but we are still 500 miles from home and need to get back as soon as we can to our business and other family members. We will probably be here for at least a week and that’s if we can get someone to fix the head gasket here or find the part so Jamie can fix it for us. A blown head gasket is the worst possible thing that can happen to a vehicle, but our options are limited. Even if we are able to fix it here, we will be missing out on income and we will be unable to buy what we need or have the gas we need to get home. We need to find a way to fix our truck, or rent a large enough truck to pull our RV back home and tow our truck home to fix. Anything you can contribute will help us immensely, and if you aren’t able to donate financially then please send up some prayers on our behalf.
