Get The Hal Outta Here!

First, an urgent request with a 24 hour deadline! I'm Harold (Hal) Simons, Native New Yorker, lately of Albuquerque,  New Mexico.   Having come up against a run of bad luck with maintaining employment in The Duke City these past few years,  I have learned that one can survive here without a car, that the best thing about owning a home is owning your own washer/dryer, and that storage units can end up costing a lot! A very long story short, my mother's failing health and the undue burden it has placed on my sister, have taken the first and second spots on a short list, I have decided to move back to New York. Realistically, it won't happen overnight, but asap. Three phases, if you will. The first happens this Tiesday at 10 AM. I finally had a buyer for several large items I have been trying to sell. The total sum of the items sold would have nicely exceeded the $864.20 due on the storage unts. But said buyer vanished on Thursday. if I don't have the money, a final determination is made in the contents becoming propertypf CubeSmart, and a potential auction date is set. As soon as this is settled, the dog and I will head to New York, hopefully for a few weeks. He can meet his grandmother for the first time, I can hopefully do some in person interviews, look at some apartments, etc. ideally,, we will then return here for however long it takes to close up shop, and then. back to New York. The number of $5,000 includes the storage spaces, our round trip flight to New York (both Southwest and JetBlue now char ge $95+ O/W for the dog,) our final one-way trip to New York,, and possibly, the typical move in fees. I believe the number I came up with is on the low side. But if we make it to that point, and come up short, a solution will present itself, I believe. Snoopy came to the shelter as a stray at two. He was there again two years ago, only for 24 hours before I took him home. So we are both survivors, and we both say thanks for your time
