Here at St Andrew's, we want to get the Gospel Story, the Greatest Story, out there as widely as we can. But not all people have the means of accessing it or are restricted in how they can receive it, such as those in prison or serving in the military.

Wouldn't it be amazing if we could get the Jesus story into these institutions? And from there see a widespread awakening of Christianity and a deeper spiritual hunger for God?

The reason we're using Bear Grylls' The Greatest Story Ever Told is because we've not come across a book as good as this one to use evangelistically and give away to non-Christians.

This five-chapter book invites you into the drama of Jesus’ life like never before. With gripping storytelling and raw honesty, Bear Grylls retells the gospel through the eyes of those who knew Jesus best—Myriam (his mother Mary), Ta’om (Thomas), Shimon (Simon Peter), Yohanan (friend), and Myriam of Magdala (Mary Magdalene). Their first-hand encounters bring the story to life with intensity, warmth, and deep reverence. At the heart of it all are Jesus’ own words, taken directly from the Bible, letting the greatest story ever told speak for itself.

The goal is £100,000, as that is enough for over 10,000 copies of The Greatest Story Ever Told. The funds, and consequently the books, will then be split 50/50 between known chaplains from prisons and the armed forces, who will then be able to give them away free of charge to those in their institution who they know are spiritually hungry for something more.

However, £100,000 is just the minimum we're aiming for...

Every penny donated will go towards the Gospel Story being put into these institutions and ministries so that seeds can be planted and hearts can be transformed.
